The basic dance hold is Closed Western Dance position.
The tempo: 160-192 bpm
Time Signature: 4/4
Basic counts & steps: Basic step is danced to six beats of music using S & Q, e.g. QQSS or SSQQ with Q=1beat & S=2beats => a figures =6beats
The dance has a generally fwd movement and any move that temporarily slows the fwd flow around the LOD should be done towards the centre of the floor. Eight count variations and sic count syncopation’s are acceptable. The Two Step is a gliding dance w/ no bounce actions, the feet passing each other w/ smooth continuous movements.
