I like both, and although I believe the lovers with different backgrounds would have had lots of things to resolve, I would really like to think that they were genuinely happy. Life is already hard, so why not mesmerize yourself with a love story and some fine dancing?
I like how the plot went on and had Ruby partnered with her former partner, who was also her ex-boyfriend. I didn't mean to like this ex but it made more sense to a professional dancer to choose a better dancer to entre competitions at an international level. This seemed to me more reasonable than some of the other dance movies- I doubted why people like SU1 in which the novice and genius earned every bit of honour. Okay, few watches musical for the plot, BUT a good plot would make it more watchable, that is for sure!

Julian's and Ruby's dance, to my disappointment, was not better than Rafael's and Patricia's. I could understand how she felt seeing Rafael in the crowd, and that gave tension between the couple during the dance, I just think this is so unprofessional (even this is just a movie). I believe a true dancer should not / would not be affected by this tiny thing, especially she was supposed to be a world class dancer. And, she exaggerated too much in her dance, the jive and samba were all fine, but the final rumba-- I agree that a good rumba should be emotional, but she made it too much and ruined the dance.

p.s. I like the You are My Home too.
