Make Your Move (2013)

You don't need to watch before you decide that it has the best moves, not because of BoA, but because of Derek Hough. He himself can be the prime reason for watching it, he is one of my favourite choreographer, and of course everyone knows his excellent dancing from DWTS, he also choreographed Olympic ice dancing routine!

Yes cheesy storyline but The Way We Move (also in 2013) has an even worse story- we all know that the popularity does not relate to the quality of the plot. In fact, you can blind yourself to the story and keep your eyes on the dances. Even the dances are not Latin dances I still enjoy it very much. You see, when it is not about professional exams or competition, routines can be more dynamic: we can easily make a recipe that contain every and all we like, the key is to fit the correct mood into the correct music presented with the right technique. Ingredients like Korean drum, tap, street style, some American smooth, plus some modern dance, voila! Here is the best fusion.
My favourite dance movie is The Ballroom Dancer, it's again very personal and is biased, but I think we cannot compare these two as the dances are just different. But the reason I like The Ballroom Dancer is because it has something, it stimulates us to think, it leaves us not only the bitter sweet story of an excellent professional dancer, but also tells how greatest dancers are different from us the average dancers. Just remember when he said when Anna was done and he was still in the studio in HK, you felt like you can feel how he felt and you melted. Of course we cannot compare a cheesy movie with a documentary, Make Your Move is a modern Romeo and Juliet (but that's classic, and not bad at all!), you cannot expect more than a lot of fantastic moves by Derek & BoA.
