| Movie: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun |
Yes, a 1985 movie. You know, old school and classic has a very fine line. Girls just Wanna Have Fun was definitely an old school movie, looking at the hair style, the make up, the fashion... everything was just so archaic. However, something could never grow old- nice dancing.
Maybe saying it 'dancing' is so appropriate, it is more about rhythmic gymnasium moves, but of course gymnasium can be a very acrobatic kind of dancing. And you could actually feel that in those day people were really hot about Swing, and Lindy Hops, which inspired Rock n Roll so much. They were obsessed with those energetic movements and impressed everyone, and that left a very nice exemplar for today's street / jazz dancers to follow.
Story was not complicated but the fantastic dancing has made it easy to absorb. Sincerely speaking I rather it be a simple story than to have an unrealistic story, if I am to watch unrealistic ones with fine dancing, I prefer to see it in a fairy tale. That way, I don't care the plot at all.
